End of week, no snow, fairly decent temperature (50 degree-ish), some wind.
Walked Wells Beach this morning. A brisk wind from the southeast angered the surf. The tide was on its way in requiring me to use Public Way #1 and then I walked over cobblestone sized rocks for much of the way. It was nice to be near the ocean, however.
Still angry at being ostracized from daughter's property in Sutton. I'm 4th generation of the Palmer family that purchased the property in the late 1800s. Most of the land has been placed in a real estate trust, by my sisters and I that we placed in tax sheltered use status. Less than 10 years ago we split off a section (17 acres, I think) on which my daughter & husband built their home. They agreed to maintain the trust property in exchange for the land which they have been nicely doing. Since the first of this year my granddaughter and daughter have increased their fundamental religious stance against homosexuality and have been convinced that the second coming of Christ, and therefore Armageddon, is imminent during their lifetime and do not want the risk of meeting Jesus with the "gay sin" present in their lives. Therefore, Ken & I are no longer welcome at their homes. I feel that it is a ludicrous and unreasonable, interpretation of biblical passages. The Bible is full of examples where Jesus, in his day, interfaced with all types of people who were not highly regarded within their communities...tax collectors, harlots, etc. The Bible also directs believers to love their neighbors, along with many types of community servitude. We as believers are also reminded that all have sinned. My daughter and granddaughter socialize throughout their respective communities, and I would certainly where they identify themselves and their friends to be sinless.
