Veteran's Day.
Walked Wells Beach buffeted by a heavy NW wind that carried drifting sand with it. Seagulls having a good time with the wind currents almost losing it at times, especially when trying to land. I experienced a few close encounters with them as they fought to maintain control. When they are on the ground they position themselves to face the oncoming wind/breeze. Today they would not rest on the beach but chose to stand at the edge of the water where the drifting sand had been caught. Returning home, when I took off my walking shoes I emptied a quarter-cup of sand from each one.,
Following that excursion I went over to the Emergent Care Center and received a flu shot. Then finalized, on the computer, the material for church's Christmas local outreach project, Ogunquit Spirit of Giving that collects Christmas gifts for deserving foster children throughout Maine. Also, finalized the church bulletin and inserts for Sunday's worship service.
